Toddler Directress - Amanda Orfei
Amanda Orfei joins Diamante in September of 2007 as our new toddler teacher. Amanda holds an AMI certification in toddler education from the Montessori Institute of Colorado. Amanda has 5 years experience teaching toddlers and brings a love of Montessori education along with much enthusiasm and dedication to toddlers. Amanda has a bachelor degree as well as a master degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois.
Amanda’s patience and high expectations for her class is obvious to all who observe her. She is skilled in directing her students to appropriate works and encourages independence and self confidence. Her toddlers can be seen preparing snack daily, setting the table and serving each other. She takes pride in developing each child’s unique potential.
Amanda has just completed her Montessori pre-primary training at the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee during the summer of 2007. She will serve as assistant in the afternoon pre-primary class where she will complete her internship over the next two years. She will work in the morning toddler class with her Aide, Dawn Danwin, who had previously worked in our pre-primary class for 4 years. We are extremely excited to welcome both Amanda and Dawn to the toddler program at Diamante.
