Estrella is originally from Cuba; she came to the United States at the age of nine. She is creative and loves to come up with new materials and projects for the children. She spends a lot of her spare time in the outdoors in Michigan and traveling outside the country as much as possible. Estrella started as an assistant in a Montessori school ten years ago and quickly fell in love with the philosophy. She loved working in a Montessori classroom so much the she got her certification to be a 3-6-year-old Directress. She has two grown children but unfortunately, they did not go to a Montessori school, for by the time that she discovered Montessori her children were too old.

She started at Diamante five years ago and has been teaching Pre-Primary ever since. This year she is going to be Co-teacher with Seon Hee Cho in the morning Pre-Primary class. In the afternoon she will be teaching the Kindergarten Enrichment program with Teese Leademan as her assistant. She will also be the Spanish teacher for both morning and afternoon Pre-Primary Class.

She loves to work in the classroom and share ideas on expanding works materials that the children have mastered. She enjoys watching each child develop to their greatest potential in her classroom and instill in them a great love of learning.
